DIY Rustic Headboard made from used FENCE POSTS!!!

So maybe this sounds ratchet, idk but let me tell you the end result is to die for and looks lie you spent a hell of a lot more money than you actually did. This project cost me 30 dollars total to make, compared to the hundreds of dollars that people were asking to make the EXACT same thing!!! Take out your note pads people, because you're gonna want to remember how to do this.

Supply List:
1. 9 fence posts (any work)
2. Hammer
3. Nails
4. Wood stain (Whatever color matches your color scheme)
5. White and colored spray paint (Any color you want the distress to look like

  1. Step uno, go to a junk yard or your neighborhood hardware store to acquire nine fence posts. (I went to Lowe's and got 10 for a total of ten dollars so I promise it will not break the bank). Side note, they will not be cute when you first get them so don't stress, thats how its supposed to be!
This is what the original fence posts I bought looked like
     2. Step two! Now comes the fun part, get ready to get your hands dirty! You're going to want to              open up your can of wood stain and use a paint brush to stain all of the fence posts your desired          color. Afterwards you need to allow two hours for the fence posts to dry before you do anything          else.

     3. After you have allowed the stain to dry, the fun part begins! Personally, after the wood stain was          applied I was a little disappointed at how bland the fence posts looked, they just seemed really            lacking of character, so I had to get creative to figure this one out. I took both white and gold              spray paint and sprayed them onto a paper towel, then rubbed the damp paper towel into the                fence posts to give them kind of a shabby chic distressed look with a pop of glitter!

     4. Once your fence posts are beautifully stained the assembly of the headboard begins! Place two            fence posts, pointed side up vertically on the ground and then evenly assemble the remaining              seven posts on top of the two posts horizontally alternating pointed side out so the headboard is          even! From there you are going to want to nail each post into the supporting posts to ensure the          headboard is sturdy.
Assembled headboard! You can use more or less fence posts depending on how tall you want your headboard to be!
The Finished Product!!!!!!

After the headboard is fully assembled, get yo man to help you move it (because it is actually heavy af) and place it behind the frame of your bed and ta-da! You now have an expensive looking headboard that no one has to know you made on a budget!!
